Helpdesk Specialist
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Helpdesk Specialist Job, and role Overview/Summary
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Install, monitor, tune, and upgrade the software and hardware used by end users to support development, test, and production systems without downtime
- Support the entire application life cycle concerning desktop OS and software
- Collaborate on assignments/projects simultaneously
- Properly set priorities and tasks with assistance from leadership
- Ask for help and provide it to others
- Maintain personal accountability for getting things done on-time and with quality results
- Develop solid relationships with global support teams to improve our processes
- Maintains awareness of current technologies and technological trends; assimilates new technology into the company work environment; advances technical and business proficiency through a formal education process and work assignments
- Participates in establishing, documenting, maintaining, and following information technology standards
- Complete a fair share of tickets as they come into the ticketing system
- Work well with a global team
- Other tasks and activities as assigned
Required profile for job ad : Helpdesk Specialist QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS or BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or a combination of education and hands on experience.
- Experience with O365 management and configuration
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and how to be proactive in our approach to desktop setups and software maintenance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
- Placing and receiving phone calls
- Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- May require 10% travel or more if needed
