Charged with setting up Reinsurance Brokerage Solutions Limited, the first and only reinsurance brokerage company in Rwanda. From inception in March 2020 (although fully operational from September 2020, due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic), the company has made major inroads in reinsurance broking in Rwanda as well as the East African region. Areas of active involvement include but are not limited to: • Spearheading reinsurance treaty renewal and negotiations for both life and general reinsurance for most insurance companies in Rwanda, • Leading and supervising the technical directorate (underwriting and claims) functions of the company. • Responsible for overseeing the growth and expansion of reinsurance in Rwanda and the East African region, • Analyzing, setting up and servicing various treaty reinsurance programs including property, liability, and agriculture, as well as facultative placements.
